Gokaku – “I Passed”
Literal Translation: “Passing (Grade)”, “Passed”
Overview: In life hopefully we pass more than we fail. This design is good
for trying to keep a positive mindset – even if you fail once in a
while.
Details/Background: The word “gokaku” is used when passing
tests for school or qualifications such as a drivers license. The “gokaku” stamp
(as found in our design) is what all Japanese love to see come test time. In
fact, the shirt may draw some attention – people might come up to you
saying “congratulations” or asking “what did you pass?”
Design Notes: Produced in the form of a “passed” stamp (or “hanko” in
Japanese) that is used to stamp papers with a passing grade for schools.
